Even nearer, on our own farm, we have a small nature trail (planned by "Kite country")
giving interesting points for you to look and listen for.
Carreg Cennen Castle near Trapp village is in a splended location with commanding views.
There are a series of walks to suit all abilities and the farm on site has tea-rooms and a rare breeds centre.
Nearby is the Trapp Arts Centre with its Arts and Craft exhibitions and a wide choice of
presents to take home.
The Dolaucothi Gold Mines are only a short drive away giving insight to the Roman
occupation of Wales. There are guided tours and why not try panning for gold.
Nearer, Llandeilo with with its famous Span Bridge over the River Towy you can find Dinefwr
Park and Newton House, a National Trust property, both with interesting possibilities for walking.
The nearby market town of Llandovery has the remains of a Norman castle and a Heritage
Centre covering the history and tales of the past, as well as a pleasant craft centre to browse in.
A short distance away is Garn Goch, near the village of Bethlehem, the largest Iron-age fort
in Wales.
Middleton Hall, the National Botanic Garden and the mysterious gardens of Aberglasney
are both unique garden experiences.
The City of Swansea and towns of Carmarthen, Llanelli and Neath are all within a 20-mile drive.
